GMS 7 and Analyzer have been released!
We’re pleased to announce the general availability of Analyzer and version 7 of the Global Management System (GMS 7).
Have you ever been asked by someone in the HR department, a compliance officer, or the business owner of one of your customers what each user is doing on their network? What applications are they using, what web sites are they visiting? How about a record of all threats that have been blocked by the SonicWALL firewall you deployed for them? Perhaps you’re interested in what applications are causing a slowdown or even an outage in your customer’s Internet connection. Or if your customers are using a SonicWALL SSL VPN or CDP device, you may be interested in a report on remote user connectivity or file backup activity. SonicWALL Analyzer can help you provide answers to all these questions not just in near real-time but also from a historic perspective.
SonicWALL Analyzer has a revolutionary syslog reporting architecture and allows you to quickly generate reports via an intuitive interface with extensive drill-down and customization features. You can view interactive reports in the web based graphical user interface. You can also email reports out on a scheduled basis via a sophisticated report scheduling function. SonicWALL Analyzer can be deployed as either a Windows application or a Virtual Appliance.
GMS has all the reporting capabilities of Analyzer and also provides organizations, distributed enterprises and service providers with a flexible, powerful and intuitive solution to centrally manage, rapidly deploy, and monitor SonicWALL firewall, anti-spam, backup and recovery, and secure remote access solutions.
Where can I get the new software? Can I try it out first?
GMS 7 and Analyzer are available for immediate download on mySonicWALL.
You can try out Analyzer easily by activating a 30-day trial license for Analyzer on the devices you would like to report on using Analyzer. However, if you would like to continue using Analyzer you will have to purchase and activate an Analyzer retail licenses for each appliance. You can upgrade a ViewPoint deployment to Analyzer. Note that a later downgrade from Analyzer to ViewPoint is not possible. Please make sure to read the Analyzer FAQ if you would like to try out and install Analyzer.
If you’re an existing GMS customer with an active support contract for your GMS system, you can download version 7 and upgrade your existing system.
